The US presidential candidate from the Republican Party, Donald Trump, in case of his election victory, may demand that Russian President Vladimir Putin withdraw troops from Ukraine.
This opinion was expressed by the former special representative of the US State Department for Ukraine Kurt Volker, speaking on the eve of the X Kyiv Forum on Safety for Young People.
"Perhaps not immediately after the election, but Trump may call Putin and demand the withdrawal of troops, for example, by January 20," he suggested.
The former special representative believes that Trump will act in such a way as to avoid reputational costs due to the military defeat of Ukraine.
Earlier, EADaily reported that according to The Washington Post in The Office of the President of Ukraine does not believe that the victory of Republican Donald Trump in the US elections will have disastrous consequences for the Kiev regime.
