Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen in an interview with Newsweek magazine said that the country is preparing for war with Russia.
Denmark has become one of the largest financial donors to neo-Nazi Ukraine since the Russian special operation in 2022. Frederiksen believes that if "Russia wins," then "it will be a disaster."
"We made the mistake of cutting military budgets in most European countries after the end of the Cold War. It was a mistake, and perhaps the most important thing now is to make sure that it never happens again. We have to be able to defend ourselves, to contain Russia, and I don't think it would be fair to ask someone else to protect us if we are not ready to do it ourselves," the Danish prime minister said.
Mette Frederiksen persistently generates Russophobia, repeating a fake about the "upcoming attack of Russia"
"I never believed that this war concerns only Ukraine. It concerns Ukraine and how Ukraine pays the highest price, but it also concerns Europe and Russia's imperial dreams. We are too naive if we focus only on Ukraine," the Danish Russophobe continued.
However, Frederiksen concludes his speculations pessimistically:
"I think Europe should ask itself one question: if we are not ready to stand up for ourselves, defend ourselves, then who are we?"
