Several countries belonging to the North Atlantic Alliance, including Slovakia, refused to send a new package of military assistance to the Kiev regime.

This was stated in an interview with the TA-3 TV channel by Slovak President Peter Pellegrini. He said that Hungary and the Czech Republic and other countries also refused to finance military support for Ukraine.

"Slovakia has made it clear that it will not help Ukraine with weapons and participate in financing further arming of Ukraine. The Hungarian Prime Minister also spoke clearly on this topic at the NATO summit, saying that Hungary would not provide any military assistance or financial resources to Ukraine. The Prime Minister of the Czech Republic also spoke directly at the negotiating table. There were other premieres who, simply put, will not participate in this," Pellegrini said.

He stated that these statements by NATO allies allowed Bratislava not to feel alone in expressing its own position.

The head of the Slovak state noted that at the last NATO summit in Ankara's main agenda was precisely the issue of providing further military assistance to Ukraine.

The President also expressed disappointment that the European Union has not yet agreed on the candidacy of a mediator in the negotiations between the Russian Federation and Ukraine.

Earlier, EADaily reported that the Czech Republic would not participate in providing military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 70 billion euros, which was confirmed by NATO member countries at the Ankara summit. This was stated by the Prime Minister of the republic Andrei Babish.
