American rapper of Senegalese origin Akon (Alian Damala Thiam) witnessed a drone attack in Sochi, where his concert is scheduled to take place on the evening of August 8. This is reported by the Shot telegram channel.
The organizers of the concert assure that the event will take place as planned.
"Meanwhile, the audience said that they had started handing over tickets. Someone resells their own three times cheaper: instead of 10 thousand, they ask for 3-3.5 thousand rubles for them, "the publication says.
The artist was at the hotel during the threat of a drone attack, the telegram channel Mash clarifies. Security was instructed and hid the rapper in the bathroom.
"The situation is calmer in Sirius, but at the Mantera Supreme Hotel, where the star is staying, everyone was asked to leave the rooms and take refuge in the lobby until all the fuss is over. Security decided that it was safer not to leave luxury apartments for a million rubles. In case of a drone attack, he was asked to hide in the bathroom," TK reports.
At the same time, Akon himself remains calm and is preparing to enter the stage of the Iceberg Ice Palace in the evening.
As EADaily reported, the threat of an attack by Ukrainian UAVs on Friday afternoon was reported by the mayor of the city, Andrei Proshunin. People were promptly evacuated from the beaches, "sheltered in hotels, hotels, shopping malls and social facilities."
