US President Donald Trump promised to teach Ukrainian specialists how to make missiles for Patriot complexes, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the United States is helping the Armed Forces to strike deep into Russia. The statements were made at a meeting with the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara.
At first, Trump said that after a scandalous meeting in the Oval Office, he had a "great relationship" with Zelensky.
"Perhaps this will be just the beginning. His country is beautiful," the US president said.
Further, Trump noted that the Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries are "an escalation that can help end" the war, and the United States will teach Ukrainians how to make missiles for Patriot complexes.
"It wasn't a bird that whispered to me that we would give them the right to make Patriot, we would show them how to make them. Then you won't be able to complain that we don't give you enough — do them yourself," Trump told Zelensky.
Also, Trump did not rule out that the United States could ensure the "closure of the sky" over Ukraine as a security guarantee tool.
"If necessary, but we won't have to worry about it when we conclude an agreement (on peace)," the US president said.
At the same meeting, Marco Rubio admitted that "we are helping Ukraine to strike deep into Russia in order to encourage Moscow to end the war so that the Russian Federation can see how difficult it is to protect its airspace."
