The mayor of Vladimir Dmitry Naumov was detained today, August 27, on suspicion of fraud on a particularly large scale, according to law enforcement agencies.
According to some media reports, Naumov is suspected of having links with members of a previously detained organized criminal group known as the Cemetery Mafia. FSB officers opened the reception of the mayor's office and waited for his arrival.
TASS, citing a law enforcement source, writes that the head of the city was detained at his workplace on suspicion of fraud on an especially large scale.
Naumov was headed by Vladimir in November 2022. Prior to that, he had been in charge of the administration of the Gorokhovetsky district for three years.
