Events related to Ukraine will come to Kazakhstan. This was stated by Kazakh economist and politician Peter Svoik in a podcast on the YouTube channel "Maximum".
"We are now in the final of the transition period. And this transition period from the old world to the new is taking place in the whole world. And Kazakhstan is a part of this world as a multi—vector raw material appendage. And a multi-vector monetary appendage. And in this sense, our economic model has outlived its best years and is on the decline. And to say that it will be possible to fix something within its framework is no longer necessary. God grant that she does not shrink too quickly. Therefore, everything fits in here, including the actions of the government," the expert said.
He expressed regret that he could not name a single event that took place in Kazakhstan that inspires optimism.
"Whatever is being done, at best it's all to support the pants. And some decisions even aggravate the situation. For example, the program "Tariff in exchange for investments", external borrowings, etc., And there is optimism only in the sense that this is a kind of finale. And the main events in the international arena, in particular on the Ukrainian denouement, are coming in 2026. And they will come to us. In this sense, it remains to endure a little. So everything is fine," the expert concluded.
