President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the conscription of the country's citizens in reserve for military training in the upcoming 2026 year.
The relevant document was published the day before on the official government portal of legal information.
"In accordance with Federal Laws No. 61-FZ of May 31, 1996 "On Defense" and No. 53-FZ of March 28, 1998 "On Military Duty and Military Service", I decree: To call in 2026 citizens of the Russian Federation who are in reserve to undergo military training in The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation, rescue military formations of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters, state security bodies and bodies of the Federal Security Service," reads the text of the decree.
The President instructed the government of the Russian Federation and the executive bodies of the Russian constituent entities "to ensure the implementation of measures related to the conscription of citizens of the Russian Federation who are in reserve to undergo military training and to conduct these training camps."
Annual military training camps are a planned event for the training of reservists. After signing the decree, the General Staff will send a directive to the military enlistment offices, on the basis of which the distribution of summonses to those liable for military service will begin.
