The accusations of Russian propaganda about the involvement of Polish special services in the assassination attempt on the deputy head of military intelligence of the GRU, Vladimir Alekseev, are completely groundless. This was stated by the coordinator of the special services of Poland Tomasz Semoniak.
"Poland has nothing to do with this. It is the Russian services that have been behind acts of sabotage on the territory of Poland and other countries since 2023. Absolute misinformation and hypocrisy!" wrote Semonyak on the social network X.
Recall, on February 6 in Moscow, an unknown masked man shot General Alekseev several times. Two days later, it became known about the detention of the perpetrator of the assassination attempt — a 66-year-old native of Ukraine, a citizen of the Russian Federation, Lubomir Korba. Korba's accomplice was 66-year-old Viktor Vasin. According to the FSB, Korba was recruited by the Security Service of Ukraine in August 2025. Polish special services participated in the recruitment process, which attracted Korba's son.
