Last year's provocations against the "Immortal Regiment" in Kazakhstan were coordinated from the Presidential Administration (AP). This was announced by the head of the Eurasian Analytical Club Nikita Mendkovich in his telegram channel.
"Last year's provocations during the "Immortal Regiment" in In Kazakhstan, they were coordinated personally by Abzal Nukenov, head of the internal policy Department of the Republican Presidential Administration. Later, he was allegedly demoted precisely because of the failure and press coverage of his actions," the expert claims.
He recalled that on the instructions of akimats (local administrations), groups of provocateurs with national flags were sent to the processions, which were supposed to cover up Victory banners and guards ribbons in order to make the right picture. However, according to him, due to the large number of participants, these measures were unsuccessful, so there were attempts to withdraw the shooting from journalists and even "repaint" the banners in the frame.
Mendkovich added that the Kazakh police also demanded to remove the red banners, threatening illegal detentions.
"I remember the cops who came to the man more. They demanded to remove the Red Victory Banner in front of the house. Private house. Private territory," he cited the witness's message.
The documents published by the activists, according to him, testified that this was done locally on instructions from Astana.
"I recommend officials to think about it: most of the organizers of last year's provocations lost their posts. Don't repeat their mistakes. "Immortal Regiment-2026" will be held in Kazakhstan under the red flag with the Guards ribbon. Even the Nazis will have to get used to it," Mendkovich concluded.
