The time has come to demand steps forward from Russia. This was stated by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, ANSA news agency reports.
So she commented on the possible invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the G20 summit.
According to Meloni, Europe should not take steps towards Putin.
"I think this is the moment when we will demand from him to take steps towards, and not vice versa. I think it's time to demand this from Russia," she said.
As reported by EADaily, US President Donald Trump said that he had not yet invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to the December G20 summit in Florida, but noted that his presence could be very useful.
