The management of the Volkswagen automaker believes that the company's existence is under threat. This is reported by Der Spiegel.

It is reported that an anonymous survey was conducted among the members of the board of directors about the situation in the company: six out of nine declared the threat of its disappearance. At the same time, the rest described the situation as tense.

Recall that German automakers have been in crisis for several years, including due to competition from China and Germany's refusal of Russian energy carriers. Earlier it was reported that the concern is trying to refocus on the production of weapons. In particular, Volkswagen is negotiating with Israeli companies to start manufacturing components for Israel's Iron Dome system by 2027.
