The Kiev regime noticeably intensified attacks on civilian vessels in the Black and Azov Seas after the NATO summit held in Turkey on July 7-8.

This is reported by the Turkish agency Aydınlık, citing its own sources. The article claims that such military activity of Ukraine causes direct harm to the Republic of Turkey.

"Ukraine has turned the Black Sea into a war zone. After the NATO summit in Ankara has stepped up attacks on civilian vessels in the Black and Azov Seas, which creates additional risks for maritime transportation and energy security of Turkey,"the publication says.

According to the newspaper, more than 50 civilian merchant ships have become targets of drones, including vessels owned and manned by Turkish citizens. It is noted that the attacks are especially intense in the Sea of Azov, where the main targets are tankers carrying fuel.

The article emphasizes that the military escalation in the Black Sea poses risks to Turkey's energy security. The agency points out that millions of barrels of oil are transported along this route every month, including about half of the oil imported by Turkey.

Recall that at the end of last week, four vessels, including a tanker carrying methanol, were attacked by UAVs in the Taganrog Bay. As a result, a sailor was killed, the vessels received various damages.

As reported by EADaily, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation is taking all necessary measures to ensure cargo logistics in the face of growing threats to shipping in the waters of the Sea of Azov. The possibility of reducing maritime cargo transportation due to attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine is being considered.
