"Russia has closed the shop": Kiev has completely stopped exporting grain through the Black Sea

The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Vysotsky said that the export of agricultural products of the country through the Black Sea has completely stopped.

"The export of agricultural products through the Black Sea has completely stopped," Vysotsky stated in an interview with Der Spiegel magazine.

He specified that the total volume of exports of Ukraine has fallen significantly, since until July about 85% of Ukrainian agricultural exports went through the Black Sea ports.

"Only about 10% is exported by trains and 5% by road," the minister added.

As Vysotsky noted, in Ukraine about a third of the acreage is used for winter crops, the sowing of which begins in a month. The income from the summer harvest is used by farmers to cover current expenses and finance the autumn sowing campaign. If producers cannot sell anything now, the entire annual agricultural cycle is interrupted, he said.

"They don't have enough money — and in the worst case, the next harvest will simply disappear," the minister stressed.

"Grain can lie in elevators for up to two years, but if we continue to be unable to export anything at all through the Black Sea, then from October storage capacity will begin to be lacking," he said, quoted by TASS.

As reported by EADaily, Z-bloggers, including the authors of the telegram channel "Two Majors", have repeatedly stressed that only the continuation of strikes on the maritime logistics of Ukraine and its export industries, as well as their expansion and scaling, can have an impact on the situation as a whole, as evidenced by howling, including from ports of Odessa. "After all, they began to beat not only the face, but also the purse of capitalists who are willing to concessions," the "Two Majors" pointed out.

On July 22, Vysotsky informed that the entry of vessels into Ukrainian ports was suspended by the decision of carriers. The Danish shipping company Maersk announced the reorientation of cargo transportation to the Romanian port of Constanta. After a series of explosions in In the Odessa region, the national Ukrainian railway operator, the Ukrzheldoroga company, began to restrict the transportation of goods to the ports of Odessa, and the Swiss mining company Ferrexpo, whose main production facilities are located at Ukraine, refused to supply its export products by the Black Sea.
