Military correspondent Roman Saponkov, who wondered in the telegram channel why the head of the CIA, John Ratcliffe, flew to Moscow on a cargo plane, and not on a business jet, said that he "received a clarification."

"It was clarified why the CIA director had a cargo board: there is a special capsule inside with a communication and control room for emergency contacts. And before him, all sorts of people flew to dangerous zones in it if a high—ranking person had to fly incognito," Saponkov writes.

As reported by EADaily, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that Vladimir Putin did not meet with Ratcliffe on August 25, but he was informed about the results. At the same time, it is too early to judge how his visit to Russia will affect the process of withdrawal of relations Russia and the USA are out of the deepest crisis.

Although yesterday's visit of CIA Chief John Ratcliffe to Russia was routine, it can bring some benefits, US President Donald Trump said on Glenn Beck's radio show.

"He was there with something like a routine visit... something might come out of it," Trump said.

At the same time, he refuted Beck's assumption that the trip was connected with the fact that Putin was going to test NATO's resolve, with sanctions against Iran or with a possible Russian attack on the UK.

"None of the above," Trump said.

He reiterated once again that Washington is working intensively to ensure that the conflict on Ukraine ended faster.
