Engineering units of the Russian North grouping have equipped the ground-based robotic complex (NRTC) with an original wire fence called "Egoza". This was reported to RIA Novosti by the commander of the training center with the call sign Charon.
The tracked platform now carries a rack with coils of a barbed spiral, which is designed to defeat enemy manpower and is capable of cutting fiber-optic control lines from drones.
The mechanics of the work is simple — first the car drives up to the installation site, hooks the anchor, pulls away, pulling the barrier, and then leaves, leaving an effective barrier. According to the Military Ministry of Defense of Russia, this approach minimizes the risk for sappers and seriously increases the speed of engineering work.
EADaily previously also informed that the Russian Defense Ministry will deliver a lot of problems to the Armed Forces with swarms of "Boomerangs".
