Kazakhstan's footprint is visible in drone attacks on Russian facilities. Asian Express writes about this.

According to the information, in September, after the attack on the Dodo Pizza pizza chain, three of the four alleged members of the group were arrested. All of them are citizens of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus.

The attack started with company credentials that were found on GitHub. The attackers used corporate systems to access the company's cloud storage and databases, which led to the theft of approximately 3.7 TB of data.

The database contained information on 862 million orders over a 15-year period, 68 million customer records, 431 thousand employees and 171 million shipping addresses.

Subsequently, it turned out that the attackers intended to sell the site on the darknet at a price of $ 100 thousand. After their detention, access to a common cryptocurrency wallet was allegedly left only to the one who disappeared from the group of hackers.

A separate story happened with the group Silent Lynx ("Silent Lynx") based in Kazakhstan, which is credited with attacks on the Orsknefteorgsintez oil refinery in the Orenburg region and compromising the network of the Nizhny Novgorod administration.

According to widespread information, hackers used targeted phishing tactics, sending emails with malicious attachments that were skillfully disguised as important documents.

Malware research The software showed that the attack started from Kazakhstani IP addresses shortly after its development.

Previously, such espionage activities have already been manifested in the state networks of Tajikistan and Belarus.
