According to the representative of the department, Guo Jiakun, there is no such information in the official reports on Wang Yi's July visit to Helsinki. At the same time, Beijing's position on the Ukrainian conflict and the nuclear issue remains unchanged and clear: a peaceful settlement of the conflict and diplomatic negotiations are necessary.
As reported by EADaily, Finnish President Alexander Stubb said that China assured him of the inadmissibility of the use of nuclear weapons by Russia, he said this in an interview with German Bild on August 30.
According to him, he discussed this issue with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
"He said, 'We will never let this happen.' And I think this is a pretty effective deterrent," Stubb said.
