Have you heard about the "Crunch"? In Russia there will be drones for nuclear war

In Russia, within the framework of the Crunch program, a universal set of equipment has been developed that turns any serial drone into a device for nuclear deterrence and monitoring tasks. As Dmitry Kuzyakin, general designer of the Center for Integrated Unmanned Solutions, told TASS, now there is no need to create special drones, it is enough to install a small board and update the firmware.

After that, the usual FPV device, "Geranium", "Lightning" or "Parcel" become "Doomsday" drones. According to Kuzyakin, this is a ready-to-use tool compatible with any Russian-made UAV.

The Crunch system was originally conceived as part of monitoring radioactive contamination of the environment after possible nuclear strikes. But, as Kuzyakin explained back in October last year, there are other scenarios for the use of such drones.

Now any mass drone can be quickly repurposed to perform special tasks in extreme conditions. The solution allows you to flexibly adapt the existing fleet of equipment without the cost of creating new samples, which is especially important in a rapidly changing environment. The complex has already passed the necessary tests and is ready for implementation.
