The USA is establishing an anti-missile “ring” around Russia, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin said on air od Rossiya 24 channel, noting that overall the US is planning to deploy 400 interceptor missiles.
According to him, the Pentagon is completing deploying its anti-missile systems in Poland, soon the same thing will happen in Japan and South Korea, while American interceptors are already deployed in Alaska, Romania and the Baltic countries.
“Overall, they intend to deploy about 400 interceptor missiles, which significantly weakens the potential of the Russian nuclear deterrence,” the deputy minister noted. He reminded that Russia invited the USA for a political dialog, but its proposals were ignored.
Fomin also said that the USA are “active in putting an anti-missile ring around Russia.”
