A demonstration was held in Kiev demanding the demobilization of military personnel in the military operation zone, the newspaper Strana reports.
The footage of the video published by the publication shows about two dozen women and several children. The participants brought posters with them calling on the authorities to define clear terms of military service.
A new law on mobilization is in force in Ukraine. Now all men between the ages of 18 and 60 must update their data at military enlistment offices within 60 days. They are required to carry a military ID with them. The age of conscription has been reduced from 27 to 25 years, and the concept of "limited fit for service" has been abolished. The country will also have an electronic office for military service.
The bill did not include a provision on dismissal from military service, it was removed at the request of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
