In response to the deployment of American long-range missiles in Germany, Russia may deploy its missiles with nuclear warheads. This was announced today, August 4, by Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov on the Rossiya 1 TV channel.
"I confirm that if the Supreme Commander—in-chief, if our military say that special munitions on such and such carriers are needed there, then it will be so. But they have to make this decision based on a combination of factors. I admit that there may come a time when it will be necessary," he said.
As reported by EADaily, the Pentagon announced that in 2026 it will begin deploying long-range strike systems in Germany, which will significantly surpass those already in Europe. We are talking, in particular, about SM-6 missiles, Tomahawk and "hypersonic weapons."
