Ukraine uses more than thirty robot dogs from the UK with German camouflage in combat operations in the Donbas. This is reported by the Bild newspaper.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have brought BAD robot dogs into battle in the Donbas, where grueling battles are taking place.2 British company Brit Alliance.
It is noted that these are compact, durable and maneuverable land drones on four "paws", controlled by operators. They can get to places where the aerial drone will not get, in particular inside buildings or into Russian trenches. Working dogs equipped with a video camera scout the surroundings, find booby traps, calculate the movement of units The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, which significantly reduces the risk for scouts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"We were concerned about the frequent reports of losses at the front due to enemy drones. Therefore, we discussed the possibilities of a safer solution for exploration tasks in high-risk areas.… The results are impressive. Our work dogs perform reconnaissance tasks on the front line, reducing the risk to human soldiers. This not only increases the effectiveness of combat operations, but also strengthens the morale of the army," said the head of the Brit Alliance, quoted by the ZeRada telegram channel.
Now the APU has more than 30 robot dogs at the front. Thanks to the anti-thermal camouflage from the German company Concamo, they are almost impossible to detect. According to Bild, robops silently move around the battlefield at speeds up to 15 km/h and operate in the enemy's location within a radius of 3.5 km for a maximum of 5 hours. They cost, depending on the modification, from € 4 thousand to € 8 thousand.
"Nothing compared to human life," emphasizes Bild.
Especially in the conditions of an acute shortage of people in the Armed Forces.
It is noted that the first Unitree Go2 Pro robot dogs appeared on the outskirts of Toretsk — at the 28th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Military operations on Ukraine clearly demonstrates that a modern war is impossible without modern technologies — it is a war not only of people, but also of weapons, inventions and military budgets, the newspaper notes.
