Vice Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Yermek Kenzhekhanuly confirmed the sending by the Ministry of Agriculture of the country of an official letter to the Rosselkhoznadzor. The reason was the detection by the Russian side of violations of shipments of agricultural products, after which the issuance of phytosanitary certificates for grain, tomatoes, peppers and sunflower seeds, which Kazakh suppliers ship to Russia. This was announced today, October 3, according to TASS.
According to Yermek Kenzhekhanuly, no violations were found on the part of his country. In this regard, the Kazakh side has already requested from Russia clarifications.
"We have asked the Rosselkhoznadzor in a reply letter to provide us with supporting facts about the violations identified," said a representative of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.
Yermek Kenzhekhanuly is sure that "no relevant violations were detected on our part during the export."
"Today we need [this] in order to make sure that these violations actually take place. We asked for the relevant certificates on the detected laboratory tests and results. As of today, we have not yet received a response from the Rosselkhoznadzor," he said.
EADaily reminds that earlier the Rosselkhoznadzor announced the suspension of imports from Kazakhstan "in connection with the increase in the number of detections of quarantine objects for the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union in quarantined products."
