The day before, in the Polish town of Szczytno, Warmian-Masurian voivodeship, after the evening Mass, an attack was made on the rector of the parish of St. Brother Albert. The severely beaten parish priest was taken to the hospital. The priest's condition is grave. The police are looking for the attacker.
According to Tygodnik Shchitno, who was the first to report the incident, the attacker was scared off by a housewife. The woman allegedly used pepper spray. The portal reports that there are traces of a brutal attack inside the building. The 72-year-old parish priest is in the hospital.
"At the moment, the attacker has not been detained yet, we are trying to arrest the criminal," said Emilia Plavskaya, the press attache of the head of the police in Shchytno. "The priest was severely beaten, his condition is serious."
