It became known that the "drug addict" made a scandalous bust of Shakespeare on Ukraine

The bust of William Shakespeare, the installation of which in Poltava caused a wide resonance, was created by a local sculptor Yaroslav Shkarup, Ukrainian publics write.

Because of the insane look, bulging eyes and slightly open mouth, users on the web compare "Poltava Shakespeare" with Jack Nicholson from the horror "Shine", the sinister Chucky doll, the frightened brownie or the classic garden gnome.

Before that, Shkarupa really mainly specialized in garden figures — he made gnomes, lizards and elephants for flower beds. According to the author himself, it's "hard" for him to create people from pictures. It took him only seven days to make a bust of Shakespeare.

As EADaily reported, a monument to William Shakespeare was unveiled in Poltava, but the performance is so mediocre that the news caused a storm of criticism in Ukrainian social networks. The bust of the great English playwright was installed in the Botanical Garden of Poltava Pedagogical University. In the comments, most users agreed that the sculpture looks like a garden gnome.

"Did his children sculpt or were they drug addicts?"; "It seems that Shakespeare was sculpted by the same one who demolished Bulgakov"; "It's good that they signed"; "As they say, the eyes are afraid, and the hands are made of... That's just this case"; "The whole world is a theater, and only Poltava is a circus!" — users write.

On June 4, on Andreevsky Descent in Kiev, the Ukrainian authorities demolished a monument to the writer Mikhail Bulgakov, who was born in Kiev and immortalized it in his works. Prior to that, he was declared a "Putinist" by ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Igor Mosiychuk.
