The final issue of Vesti on the Rossiya-1 TV channel will be hosted by journalist Yevgeny Popov next Sunday, as the host of the program Dmitry Kiselyov needs treatment.
"I caught pneumonia here, and the doctors have prescribed a gentle regime so far," RIA Novosti quotes Kiselev.
The TV presenter added that Popov will hold the final edition of the Vesti program by decision of the VGTRK management, as it was already during the vacation period.
"I am sure that there will be an interesting Sunday edition. Well, I'm staying with my viewers, but this time on this side of the TV screen," Kiselyov concluded.
On weekdays, Popov hosts the 60 Minutes program on the Rossiya 1 TV channel together with Olga Skabeeva.
