Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump discussed the results of negotiations held by representatives of the head of the White House Steve Witkoff and By Jared Kushner in Moscow and Kiev. This was announced today, September 8, by Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.

"The phone conversation lasted exactly an hour, was constructive and very frank," Ushakov said. — You understand that it was confidential. The conversation focused on the issues of the Ukrainian settlement — this is understandable."

As Ushakov noted, Trump clearly carried out the idea of the desirability of ending the conflict as soon as possible.

Vladimir Putin, in turn, positively assessed the mediation efforts of the American side and Donald Trump personally. In addition, the Russian president explained what the United States could really do to end hostilities as soon as possible.

Putin stressed that the Russia has no aggressive plans towards Europe.
