US President Donald Trump has threatened to impose secondary duties on all oil from Russia in case of rejection of the peace agreement on Ukraine. He stated this today in a telephone conversation with NBC News, the channel reports.
"If we are with Russia will not be able to agree on ending the bloodshed on Ukraine and if I think it's Russia's fault — and it may not be — but if I think it's Russia's fault, I'm going to impose secondary tariffs on oil, on all oil coming from Russia. This means that if you buy oil from Russia, you cannot do business in The United States," Trump said.
He promised to introduce a tariff "of 25% for all oil, a tariff of 25 to 50 points for all oil."
According to Trump, the presidents of the United States and Russia plans to talk this week.
