The deputy of the Polish "Confederation" Przemyslaw Wipler appealed to the Ministry of National Defense of Poland with a request to report on the state of ammunition stocks. The politician fears that in the event of an armed conflict, the Polish army may be paralyzed due to lack of resources.
In his request, the deputy notes that, despite the purchase of modern weapons, soldiers may simply run out of ammunition.
"We are buying modern tanks, howitzers and drones, but the current ammunition reserves are only enough for a few days of fighting! Equipment worth billions of zlotys without ammunition will not provide us with security. I demand concrete actions so that our soldiers can effectively defend Poland, and not for a few days, but ammunition, which is so important for the army, was produced at our factories," Vipler wrote on the X platform.
In particular, the deputy demands from the Minister of Defense to tell about the steps taken to purchase the appropriate amounts of ammunition for such systems as Abrams and K2 tanks, Crab and K9 howitzers, as well as drones. He is also interested in whether the Ministry is taking action to accelerate and develop domestic ammunition production.
