Facts of illegal receipt of loans are systematically revealed in Belarus. Alexander Lukashenko said this today, September 9, at a meeting with the staff of the National Bank and the management of banks.
According to him, we are talking about the use of documents that contain false information. Lukashenko also noted that inspections reveal facts of internal and external fraud in banks, and some credit brokers actually work as spies, providing services for deciphering credit history.
"Criminal cases have been initiated against the owners of banks for tax evasion, fees," the Belarusian leader said.
In addition, Lukashenko asked the representatives of the National Bank about "whether they have relaxed a lot" in this structure, "having lowered the reins in managing the income of banks." In this regard, he pointed to the growth of commissions in banks.
"It is necessary to strive for profit through justice, one should not think exclusively in terms of profit. Do not forget, we have about 2.5 million pensioners in our country. About two million people live in rural areas," the President of Belarus stressed.
Alexander Lukashenko also warned everyone at the meeting that "banks, non-bank financial institutions should be honest, act exclusively within the law, in the interests of people and the country."
