In the center of Warsaw, three citizens of Ukraine were arrested, in whose car espionage equipment was found. This was reported on the website of the police department of the central district of the Polish capital.
"The citizens of Ukraine were unable to explain for what purposes they needed the things confiscated by the police. When they were asked clarifying questions, they forgot English and said they didn't understand what they were being asked about," Katsper Wojtechko, a representative of the department, told Polsat TV channel.
According to the police, among other things, the detainees were found to have antennas used for hacker attacks, hard drives with spyware, routers, laptops, video cameras and a large number of SIM cards. With the help of such equipment, it was possible to connect to strategic information networks of defense importance, police experts believe.
The detainees explained that they were heading to Lithuania and were not going to stay in Poland.
The police launched an investigation. According to the decision of the Warsaw City Court, citizens of Ukraine have been placed under arrest for three months.
