The Russian military has begun preparing massive strikes on Ukrainian energy facilities. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The armed forces of the Russian Federation are intensively preparing for large-scale attacks on the Ukrainian energy system. The Ministry of Defense stressed that this is a response to the ongoing attacks by the Ukrainian side on civilian facilities and the fuel and energy infrastructure of Russia.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry announced new massive strikes on targets on the territory of Ukraine. As a result of the attacks, enterprises related to the military industry and providing for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered.

Russian troops successfully hit another facility where Flamingo long-range cruise missiles were being prepared for launch. The operation involved tactical aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery.

The Defense Ministry reported that the strikes were carried out on the facilities of the fuel and energy sector of Ukraine. The ammunition production workshop and logistics centers providing the Armed Forces were hit.

Sites for the assembly and storage of unmanned aerial vehicles were also destroyed. The strikes were carried out on the temporary base of Ukrainian units and foreign mercenaries located in 143 districts. Russia's air defense systems successfully intercepted 14 guided aerial bombs, 5 HIMARS rockets and 804 unmanned vehicles.
