Belarus will have to build a border that is abandoned from Ukraine. Alexander Lukashenko said this today, December 9, at a meeting of the Security Council.
"The situation on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border has more or less stabilized. Although there are problems through the roof. Yesterday, our chief border guard reported to me that there are many issues that need to be resolved in a mobilization manner and to build the border, which is abandoned from Ukraine, and to build outposts, and to arm border guards," he said.
Lukashenko also noted that the Armed Forces have to be deployed in the second line behind the border guards.
"Of course, this distracts not only our attention, but it also distracts certain funds," the Belarusian leader stressed.
Recall, after the start of the Russian special military operation on To Ukraine, Kiev officially announced the strengthening of its border with Belarus. It was announced about the construction of fortifications and mining of the entire border area. In turn, the Belarusian side has also started the construction of new border outposts in the southern direction.
