In Sumy, a man shot teenagers with a gun

The shooting occurred in the Ukrainian city of Sumy, at least four children were injured, the shooter was detained, the Sumy regional Prosecutor's office said.

According to the agency, the incident occurred on Tuesday.

"A resident of Sumy was detained on suspicion of attempted murder of teenagers. The man opened fire... from the window of a multi-storey building. As a result, four children between the ages of 13 and 16 were injured," the telegram channel of the department said.

The publication of the prosecutor's office clarifies that law enforcement agencies detained a 60-year-old man and confiscated his smoothbore hunting rifle. The injured children were hospitalized. Later, the regional military administration of the Sum clarified in its Telegram channel that as a result of the incident, a total of six children were injured. Authorities are investigating the incident.
