The popular military correspondent Alexander Sladkov showed in a report from the SMO zone a T-80BVM tank equipped with unusual designs, thanks to which it was nicknamed "dandelion".
We are talking about a light lattice grill that covers the upper hemisphere, plus a large number of unwound metal cables. The latter make the tank look like a dandelion. Such pins make it possible to save the T-80BVM from drones used in the SMO zone.
"This design is, for today, the most effective protection of the tank from kamikaze drones and copter bombers," said the military correspondent.
The T-80BVM has several smoke bombs for camouflage and a massive screen with dynamic protection units "Contact".
