Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has promised to conquer the Baltic Sea in 2026. He announced this in his New Year's address to the nation, which was broadcast on Thursday evening.
And he intends to do it quickly.
"This will be the year of the rapid conquest of the Baltic. Our Polish Baltic," said Tusk, quoted by RIA Novosti.
In addition, according to Tusk, Poland will accelerate the creation of the strongest army in Europe in the coming year.
"No matter what, 2026 will be the year of Polish acceleration. We will accelerate the construction of the strongest army in Europe, we will accelerate large infrastructure investments," he said.
Recall, Warsaw plans to increase the number of its armed forces to 300 thousand people. Now the Polish army has 215 thousand soldiers.
