The Moscow City Court returned to the former deputy head of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Timur Ivanov, convicted of bribery, his plot and apartment building in the Odintsovo district of the Moscow region. This was announced to TASS today, February 11, by one of the participants in the process.
"The Moscow City Court canceled the decision to transfer Ivanov's apartment building and plot to the state in the village of Razdory in the Odintsovo district of the Moscow region," the agency's interlocutor said.
Earlier, the Moscow City Court officially announced the cancellation of the decision of the first instance regarding the land plot and residential building, without specifying whose property was returned. The court session was held in a closed mode for the press.
The first instance refused to satisfy the requirements of the Prosecutor General's Office for the seizure of property totaling 1.2 billion rubles only in part of the appeal to the state revenue of a Bentley Continental GT 2004 car issued to Ivanov's ex-wife Svetlana Zakharova. The rest of the department's claim was satisfied in full.
As EADaily reported, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov was detained on April 23, 2024. The investigation charged him with receiving a bribe in the amount of 1,185 billion rubles. According to investigators, Timur Ivanov colluded with contractors working at the facilities of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in exchange for personal remuneration. By a court decision of July 1, 2025, he received 13 years in prison. In November it became known that the ex-official was declared bankrupt.
