The mission of the United States of America to rescue the pilot of the F-15E fighter shot down in Iran ended in failure. This was announced today, April 5, by the official representative of the central headquarters of the Khatam al-Anbia command, Ebrahim Zolfagari.
"The efforts of the enemy ... to rescue the pilot of the downed plane failed. In the south of Isfahan, enemy air targets were shot down, including two Black Hawk helicopters and a C-130 transport military aircraft... now they are burning," he said.
Earlier it became known that Iran shot down an American F-15E fighter, as a result of which one of the pilots was lost. Later, US President Donald Trump said that the US military managed to save the pilot. According to him, dozens of aircraft participated in the rescue operation.
