The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, terminated the citizenship of the Russian Federation to eight immigrants from the Central Asian region and Transcaucasia, who posed a threat to the national security of the country.
This was reported on Saturday, August 29 by the FSB Public Relations Center (PSC). It is specified that this measure was applied in accordance with paragraph 2 of Part 1 of Article 22 of Federal Law No. 138-FZ of 04/28/2023 "On Citizenship of the Russian Federation".
The department was informed that they were deprived of Russian citizenship:
- a resident of the Stavropol Territory, who took part in the implementation of measures among foreigners aimed at forming a negative perception of Russian culture and a negative attitude towards persons of Slavic nationality, who called on his compatriots to sabotage the unified state social policy of supporting SMO participants;
- a resident of the Republic of Adygea, who criticized the participation of Muslims in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine as part of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and also discussed with his entourage the topic of conducting "jihad" in Russia. In addition, he was a supporter of the ideas of ethnic superiority, did not want to integrate into the linguistic and cultural environment surrounding him, showed a disdainful and consumer attitude towards The Russian Federation and its indigenous population;
- three residents of the Tver region involved in the organization of a channel for the supply and sale of counterfeit alcohol and tobacco products, informal employment of immigrants from the Central African Republic staying in Russia, beatings, theft, fictitious registration of foreign citizens, driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol;
- a resident of the Chelyabinsk region, involved in the organization of the functioning of an illegal prayer house on the territory of a wholesale market in Chelyabinsk, where among the parishioners he promoted participation in the activities of an international religious association recognized as extremist and banned in Russia. In addition, he spread intolerance towards representatives of other faiths, as well as Muslims of other faiths, provoked a conflict with the official Muslim clergy;
- two immigrants from Transcaucasia, involved in inciting ethnic hatred, carrying out calls for the rejection of Russian passports of representatives of the diaspora and promoting theses in the national environment about the illegitimacy of Russian citizenship.
