The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow has appointed ten days of administrative arrest to a first-year college student Konstantin Bodunov, who staged a riot in Lenin's Mausoleum. The relevant document is published on the official portal of the Moscow courts of general jurisdiction.
According to the document, on the afternoon of April 8, the student, being on the territory of the necropolis near the Kremlin Wall, cursed loudly and obscenely, "waved his hands, interfered with the movement of citizens, behaved provocatively, struck several blows on the sarcophagus." He did not respond to the calls of the police.
It is also noted that during the arrest, the student behaved aggressively, broke out, pushed police officers away.
In court, he explained that he behaved like this in Lenin's mausoleum because he disagreed with his economic and religious policies.
"In connection with what he decided to throw his moccasin into the sarcophagus, he did not resist the police officers, because he was aware of the consequences of his actions," the court documents say.
However, he did not admit his guilt.
The court came to the conclusion that the detainee's guilt was confirmed by the protocol on an administrative offense, reports and written explanations of police officers, punctures about detention and delivery to the police station, as well as a written statement of the detainee.
As a result, Bodunov was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 20.1 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (petty hooliganism involving non-compliance with police requirements). He was sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest.
