Hungary should not participate in providing Kiev with an EU loan of 90 billion euros. This was announced today, April 13, by the head of the Hungarian party "Tisa" Peter Magyar.
"In December, at a meeting of the EU Council, Viktor Orban decided that Hungary, and possibly Slovakia and the Czech Republic, would not participate in this 90 billion euro loan, that is, it does not apply to our countries. So it was accepted. I don't quite understand, I will discuss with European leaders why this issue needs to be raised again. Personally, I agree that Hungary should be excluded from this," he said.
Magyar also stressed that Hungary is in a difficult economic situation and cannot afford to take out new loans. At the same time, he added that he does not support Ukraine's accelerated accession to the European Union.
"I think that this will not happen in the near future and in the next ten years," Magyar stressed.
Recall that in the elections held on April 12, the opposition party "Tisa" won, having received 138 out of 199 seats in the unicameral parliament of the country. It is assumed that at the first session of the new convocation of the legislature, which will be held within 30 days, the Magyar will be approved by the Prime Minister of Hungary.
