Poland will not have to make a decision about whether or not to allow the Slovak Prime Minister to fly to Moscow for the celebration of May 9. This was stated today at a press conference by the country's Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, the radio station RMF24 reports.
So Sikorski answered the journalist's question whether Warsaw would agree to let Robert Fico's plane, which would take him to Moscow to participate in the Victory Day parade.
"As far as I know, this problem has ceased to exist," Sikorsky said, without going into details.
According to the Polish Press Agency, citing diplomatic sources, everything indicates that Warsaw will not have to make a decision on this issue. If Fico goes to Moscow, he will choose a different route — bypassing Polish airspace, sources say.
It is not reported what this route is.
As EADaily reported, Warsaw received a request from Bratislava to use Polish airspace for the passage of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico during his trip to Moscow. This was announced by the representative of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maciej Weviora.
According to him, the Polish side is currently considering Slovakia's request.
Earlier it became known that the Baltic countries refused to use their airspace for the passage of the Fico board. At the same time, the Slovak Prime Minister is determined to fly to Moscow, as he did last year.
