Europe's small steps aimed at escalating the conflict could lead to a big war with Russia. This was stated on the Deep Dive YouTube channel by Professor John Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago.
"Perhaps these small steps taken by Europe will lead to a major war with Russia. First it was drones, then attacks, they wanted to use Tomahawk missiles. Now the Ukrainian Armed Forces are using huge drones that are manufactured in the UK and France," Mearsheimer said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
The drones themselves are assembled on Ukraine, but release them in Europe, the expert emphasized. It all comes down to who is behind this plan, he noted. "After all, the decision makers are in Germany, the UK and France. And it is they who are planning this slow escalation. If this continues, I think there will be consequences," Mearsheimer added.
As EADaily reported, Glenn Diesen, a professor at the University of Southeastern Norway, commented on Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson's call on NATO to help Ukraine on the social network.
