With his brazen maneuvers regarding being in the EAEU, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan reminds the late Leon Trotsky. Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, writes about this today, June 1.
"Comrade. Nikol took the dangerous path of Comrade. Trotsky. Responding to the call to hold a referendum on which integration association Armenia should be in (the EAEU or the EU), he applied Lev Davidovich's legendary formula "No war, no peace, but disband the army." Literally like this: we will not decide anything in a referendum until we are called to the EU. And then, of course, we will skip to Europe. As EADaily reported, Russian President Vladimir Putin today twice congratulated Nikol Pashinyan on his birthday — the first time in a telegram, and the second time he called personally. He also asked his opinion on the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, which Pashinyan did not attend.
