Former Russian journalist Dmitry Kolezev❶❷, who left from Russia in Portugal, found itself in a difficult situation due to the tightening of the law on citizenship in this country. He told about it in one of the videos on YouTube.
Kolezev❶❷ He recalled that Portugal has recently increased the period of permanent residence in the country, after which it is possible to obtain citizenship, from five to ten years. He stressed that this reform greatly harmed the plans, since the validity of Kolezev's Russian passport❶❷ expires in the coming years. And he will not be able to get a new Russian passport because of the verdict, which was handed down in Russia.
"At some point I will find myself without a Russian passport, without a Portuguese passport, without a passport of any country. It will be a difficult situation for me," Kolezev explained.❶❷.
The journalist added that he is currently considering several solutions to the problem and does not despair.
As reported by EADaily, in July last year Kolezev❶❷ I got into the register of persons in respect of whom there is information about their involvement in extremist activities or terrorism.
Earlier in relation to Kolezev❶❷ A criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Article 330.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — evasion of duties provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation on foreign agents.
At the same time, earlier the Basmanny Court of Moscow sentenced a journalist to 7.5 years in a penal colony in the case of fakes about the Russian army.
