On June 3, Ukrainian companies plan to supply the largest volumes of electricity to Moldova. At the same time, Ukraine continues to import from EU countries. This situation suggests that the green generation in the south of the country is working with an overabundance in early June, but the consequences of the attacks of the Russian army do not allow the surplus to be transferred to other regions that are experiencing shortages.
According to ENTSO-E, on June 3, Ukrainian companies export more electricity than they import. So, commercial deliveries from EU countries are planned at 4.5 GWh, but in the opposite direction, 6.4 GWh should go. At the same time, 3 GWh will be supplied to Moldova. These are the largest deliveries.
The south-west of Ukraine is considered the center of solar and wind generation, and the volumes for Moldova may indicate that renewable energy works in excess. However, excess electricity may simply not be transferred to the deficit regions of Ukraine due to damage in the power system.
At least the import on Ukraine is scheduled throughout the day. The main supplies will come from Hungary, Romania and Slovakia.
According to the Ukrainian operator, the Russian army continued to strike back and on June 3 there are outages in the Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions.
It is known that after retaliatory strikes to thermal power plants, CHP and GRES, solar generation has become one of the main sources of electricity for Ukraine.
