The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, said that China "demanded" that Russia not use nuclear weapons in the war with Ukraine. He stated this today with reference to information from Western leaders.
"China reacted very seriously, very harshly and clearly to the statements appearing in the Russian media about the possibility of using nuclear weapons. And it seems to me that for the first time they reacted very clearly and harshly — as the leaders told me, in an ultimatum form: the use of nuclear weapons is out of the question," Zelensky said, quoted by Strana.
Apparently, "these leaders" are Finnish President Alexander Stubb.
China will not allow Russia to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine, he said today.
"Two days ago I had a dinner with the Chinese Foreign Minister in Finland. We discussed the nuclear issue. The Chinese very categorically said: "No, this is not going to happen,"" said Stubb, quoted by Strana.
Information that China warned Russia about the inadmissibility of the use of nuclear weapons periodically appears in the Western media, but Beijing itself has never confirmed it. At the same time, China constantly speaks out against the use of nuclear weapons in principle, the Ukrainian edition notes.
As EADaily reported, on July 9, as part of the presentation of the report "A new round of the big game. The competition of the largest geopolitical players for Central Asia" Mikhail Vinogradov, head of the Petersburg Politics Foundation, speaking about the priorities of Russia's foreign policy, urged Moscow to focus on the East, but still understand which part of it is more important.
Vinogradov named five Central Asian states — Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan — as Russia's most likely priority. At the same time, the expert warned against not always correctly understanding China's mentality.
