The leader of the Spanish national football team refused to shake hands with Donald Trump — Pushkov

The leader of the Spanish national football team Lamin Yamal refused to shake hands with Donald Trump. Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov writes about this in his telegram channel.

"At the gold medal ceremony, the 19-year—old striker of the Spanish national team Lamin Yamal refused to shake hands with President Trump and showed him a victory sign instead — to Trump's obvious displeasure," the politician wrote.

He added that the American president cannot be tolerated in Spain.

"Given the acute conflict between him and the Spanish government, it would be much more convenient for him to congratulate the Argentine national team. Its president is an ardent supporter of Trump. But not fate... And a little later [Gianni] Infantino (FIFA president — approx. EADaily) ran to take Trump away from the solemn victory celebration scene so that he would not get into the frame with the Spanish team. Trump had to step back. Another unpleasant situation for the American president," concluded Pushkov.

The Spanish national team in the World Cup finals on July 19 beat the Argentine national team with a score of 1:0, winning the trophy for the second time in its history.
