All the main areas of cooperation between Russia and Germany are actually frozen, Russian Ambassador to Berlin Sergey Nechaev said today, September 4.
"Now bilateral relations, we can say bluntly, are at the freezing point, because in fact all the main tracks of cooperation, the political dialogue of civil societies, contacts at the political level have been frozen," he told reporters.
German Foreign Minister Johann Wadefuhl said on September 1 that Germany would close the Russian Consulate General in Bonn and terminate the agreement concerning the activities of the Russian House in Berlin.
Prior to that, German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt, without proof, but officially accused the Russian Federation of involvement in the incident with the drone at Leipzig airport.
